You can find out that in tags I put two of the most important stakeholders (Jan, Adam) and two main area of my responsibielities (projects, risk). Tags can be used for quick and easy filtering TODOs. Predefined values help for quickly mark things. For my needs - all other tags are custom, defined during the tag'ing.

In my office case calendar&email are managed by Outlook application. All notes, lists, tasks, etc. are Emacs based. Remember that the Emacs is a tool that help you to do the things right. It´s worth to plan inside of it also weekly/monthly review to be sure that you do right things and stakeholders action to be sure that you manage the most important of your business relationships. Additionaly I can advice you to create a habbit to create a schedule/deadline date for all TODO that you write down.

During writing I´ve found out that Solarized-Selenized-Black theme is even more beautiful that the classic Solarized-Dark :].
The most important keyboard shortcuts:

C-ca open agenda (THE AGENDA)
C-ct open work(trabalho) file.
C-ci open inbox file
C-cc capture quick notes to inbox file
Cc-s define schedule date
Cc-d define deadline date

It´s useless to write 1389723423 version of how to start with Emacs. Instead of it:

use build-in tutorial by C-h t in Emacs (that is, Ctrl-h followed by t),
check super nice and easy tutorial created by Rainer Konig (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVtKhBrRV_ZkPnBtt_{TD1Cs9PJlU0IIdE}). In short, step-by-step videos you will have lessons about org-mode.

In my opinion after 10th topic you will have everything you need to deliver on the time:

Based on you should be able to deliver on time in effective way and know what you whould like to learn next.

As an EXTRA: I will sugesst to look around for a pomodoro technique implementation that would work for you. In my case: must have requirements is possibility to play ~tropical rain. There is nothing better to help you focus and thing in Portugal summer :]. In enterprise-we-block-everything-environment it´s hard to setup it inside of Emacs. In such case useful can be Forestapp on Android/iOS that can also help you to cancel all smartphone notifications.

Como extra: sugerirei uma implementação da técnica de Pomodoro que funcionaria para você. No meu caso: deve ter requisitos é a possibilidade de jogar ~ chuva tropical. Não há nada melhor para ajudá-lo a se concentrar e a coisas no verão de Portugal:]. Em Enterprise-We-Block-Alverything-ambiente, é difícil configurá-lo dentro do EMACS. Nesse caso, útil, pode ser o ForestApp no Android/iOS que também pode ajudá -lo a cancelar todas as notificações de smartphone.
